Recommended steps for Joomla 4 to Joomla 5

What are the recommended steps to upgrade Joomla 4 to Joomla 5 with Nicepage?
Is Nicepage 6 compatible with Joomla 4 so we can upgrade Joomla 4 to 5 first, and then update Nicepage plugin.
Or should the plugin be upgraded first, or perhaps disabled?

Please backup before any changes, and then try to upgrade to J5 directly.
