Does Version 5.18 allow ecommerce cart in HTML5 site, or just WooCommerce / VirtueMart?

Ask a Question

As you add more and more ecommerce functionality, you've started to use phrases like "Nicepage e-commerce", which I interpret as HTML5 ecommerce.

If you are still only supporting shopping cart & history in a CMS environment, please make this clear in your change logs. If you are supporting ecommerce in HTML5 sites, please publish a few downloadable themes that we can use to learn from.

Hi Jack,

At this moment we continue to implement e-commerce solutions for HTML 5 websites. You can manage products, add Buy Now buttons, shopping cart, product list pages, etc. We also work on new designs with e-commerce elements.
For more details please check the E-commerce section in Nicepage documentation:
https://nicepage.com/doc/c/e-commerce
Please let us know if you have any further questions.

I read the documentation you pointed out, and the SHOPPING CART documentation (the part I was most concerned with) still indicates it only works in a CMS environment.

However fancy you continue to make the product presentation elements, it still boils down to only being able to CHECKOUT a single item at a time. And there is no provision at this point for calculation of shipping fees, taxes, etc.

I am NOT COMPLAINING - implementing an e-commerce system through Nicepage HTML5 (as opposed to building themes for CMS products that handle e-commerce) is a whole other level of complex. I would just prefer you stop referring to Nicepage as an HTML e-commerce solution and continuing to say that things like SHOPPING CART are supported. It confuses me, gives me false hopes, and also results in me misinforming clients who want a shopping cart but don't want the bulk of a CMS system.
