Report a bug

The distance between the menu items can not really be changed. It always remains a far too big distance.

Hi,

Please make sure that you have set the Menu >> Spacing option to the low value. When it is set to 0 the menu items are bounded together and there is no gap.

Sincerely,
Hella

Hi,

Could you please provide a link to the site where the issue is visible? Or if you are building the site on a desktop application, please attach the site folder from C:\Users\*your username*\Documents\Nicepage .

Hi,

The spacing between menu items is correctly reduced according to your settings. But the space you see is the menu item padding. You can think that it is a spacing between items, as your items are transparent. To reduce the padding in the items please move the borders of your items in the editor directly.

Hi
,
no matter what I set as spacing (eq 0 or 5 or ...) - it does not work after output to joomla.
At least the positioning on the left edge should work.

What needs to be set?

What maens this, where I have to do it? In which editor?
To reduce the padding in the items please move the borders of your items in the editor directly.

Sincerely,
Jürgen

Hi,

Our developers also asked for user_sites.json file also. It is located in the folder with websites.
In general, you can pack the whole /Nicepage folder.

Thank you,
Olivia

Hi,

Thank you.
As I can see Menu Spacing is 0. I've changed it to 10 and exported theme as joomla theme and installed in joomla on my side. The distance between menu items in joomla is the same as specified in Nicepage. I've marked this spacing on a screenshot below. Also, this screenshot demonstrates what vertical guide line (red line) you can use to center the Menu in the Header.

Please set the Spacing, re-export the theme, reinstall the theme in joomla and clear all joomla caches. let us know the result.

Thank you,
Olivia

Hi,

the result is not very good but satisfactory. Unfortunately, this does not work with the left alignment. But with the central alignment you can at least simulate that.

But still a super software!

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

Exactly what result you're trying to achieve? A screenshot or example website should help us to understand what menu layout you want to create.

Thank you,
Olivia

Hi,

I would like to place the menu not centered but left-aligned

But as workarround also the above solution is enough - you have to experiment a little with the distances between the menu items

Thanks again for the assistance.

Hi,

In order to align the menu to the left please use this line:

left-alignment-line.png

Please note that the current menu padding is huge for max sheet width (1140px). You can reduce it be reducing menu size with this marker:

resize-menu-marker.png

This will reduce the left/right space inside the menu item.

menu-changes.png

And export as a theme. Then install this theme in joomla and clear all caches. If the issue continues please save all changes listed above to the website and attach the /Nicepage folder again.

Thank you,
Olivia
