Updating between desktop versions

Ask a Question

Hi there

I use two different laptops (one in the office and one at home). I have developed a website on my home laptop without realising that it doesn't automatically update between devices. I need to move the website back to the online developer so that I can make sure that I can make the updates from either office or home.

Please could you tell me the best way to do this? Or have I set up the desktop version incorrectly, and is there a way of getting it to automatically update?

Thans

They don't sync.
You would need to export the backup Project file, and import that file into the other app, whether it's desktop or online web app, to continue working on it.

Hi,

I don't have experience doing this so not sure if it will work, but you should be able to use any cloud solution (OneDrive, Google Drive, etc.) to backup the /Documents/Nicepage and /Documents/Nicepage Templates folders on your computers.

I don't think that NP has a way to change the default directory of where sites are stored locally so on both laptops those two folders need to be in the Documents folder.

Let us know how you get on.

Thanks guys!

Managed to do what you said kyon and it worked perfectly!

I'm new to Nicepage so it's all a huge learning curve!
