Ask a Question

I decided to try Nicepage again for Joomla, after giving up last time, because of issues with Themler. The problem is, I tried watching the tutorial videos, but it isn't the same as the one I'm seeing in Joomla. It shows an add option at the top where you can add sections, but the only thing I can figure out how to do is add blocks. I basically just want a header with a centered image, a horizontal menu, and then below that left side bar with content for the main page/blog , and a sidebar on each side for the article pages. I want it to look like a blog layout, not like the templates I'm seeing. Maybe I need add positions? I'm coming from using Artisteer and Themler and am thoroughly confused. Maybe I need the older version of nicepage (2.0)? Can I get it back?

Hi Jamie,

Thank you for your interest in Nicepage.

It shows an add option at the top where you can add sections, but the only thing I can figure out how to do is add blocks.

We renamed "Section" to "Block" and moved ADD menu to the left side. That's all. The add Block option still works like Add Section.

I basically just want a header with a centered image, a horizontal menu, and then below that left side bar with content for the main page/blog , and a sidebar on each side for the article pages.

All listed elements, like Header, Menu, and Sidebars, are theme elements. The theme editing is available in Nicepage Desktop only. There are two templates (Post and Block) where you can enable Sidebar for Joomla pages.
Nicepage plugin for Joomla is a content builder plugin.

Please try Nicepage Desktop application and let us know if you have any further questions.
