Hi, I mainly used the Desktop version of NicePage, but also sometimes work in the Online builder. Is there a way to synchronize my projects between the two environments? Right now both are completely separate.

Hello Christopher,

The desktop application stores your projects locally, Online builder stores your projects online accordingly, which means both platforms are not synchronized.
You can transfer your projects between both applications by using the export/import project option available for both platforms.

OK, thanks, now a follow up question, if I hire a colleague and want them to work on my sites in the Online Builder, how can I add an account for them, buy a license, and allow us both to work on my sites in the Online Builder tool?

Hi Christopher,

The content editor feature is only in our roadmap, it is not implemented yet. You can work with Online Builder only using one nicepage account and not at the same time, as log out/login (with any license).

Hi Anna,
can you say when the content editor with custom logins will be available? Will it take longer than mid-2024?
Best, Timo

Hi! When we are using import/export between Desktop and Online version for the same website, can we publish it from both in the same url somehow? For example in the: https://mysite.nicepage.io/

Hello Yannis,

Since the last update, you can open your online site projects from the Desktop Application and import your desktop project into Online builder - https://nicepage.com/doc/469642/all-your-local-and-online-projects-in-one-place
Publishing of one project file using different platforms under the same URL is not available.

Thanks Anna for your answer, but I was wondering if this function is not available, then what is the use of opening the same project from different platforms?

Hello,

You can edit now your desktop projects using another PC. For this, you need to log in to nicepage.com and open Online builder, and click the Import Project button. After you click the button, the online copy of the local project is created on your online Dashboard.

Hello,

Yes, this is not possible, since you are editing a copy of the project.

Hello Christopher,

We have just implemented the option to see one project and edit without export/import using both platforms. The option to publish one project under one URL from different platforms is not available.

I can't find the export command in the online builder, could you give me some advice? Thank you

Hello Christopher,

The desktop application stores your projects locally, Online builder stores your projects online accordingly, which means both platforms are not synchronized.
You can transfer your projects between both applications by using the export/import project option available for both platforms.

Hi,

Open the exact project you want to export, then press the button with two arrows as on the screenshot above and export the project.
If the project is opened for editing, then use the Publish icon on the top bar and there you could also choose the Project export type.

We have just implemented the option to see one project and edit without export/import using both platforms.

I am not clear how to do this. Does this mean I can edit a local project online and it will sync?
I do not see that described here (or am not understanding) https://nicepage.com/doc/469642/all-your-local-and-online-projects-in-one-place

I do not see my local projects on the online builder Should I see them?

This is what partially worked (allows me to copy content form one page to another - from online to desktop)
- Publish the desktop site
- Go to settings to NOINDEX
- Import to online Online Builder - I assume it is uploading form the published version on your server (not my local version)
- The site now shows in the "online projects" section and in the "Published form app" section
- I can now see one page on desktop, copy content and paste to my desktop version
- Editing online does not sync on desktop - should it

  • For my "copy and paste" use case should I be doing something different
    • Should I see my local projects in the online builder.?

Please describe a step by step to see a local site on the online builder and tell me if it syncs.
