Ask a Question

This was announced at some point (see link below), but apparently only applies to non-custom domains. I really need this feature, but have a custom domain. Seems like there are many more people that would want this. Is there a time line when SEO friendly links (no .html) will work for custom domains?

Thank you,

Greg

Good day

I think this is an absolute core feature thing that should be integrated in every website builder. Currently you have to connect your own domain in a complicated way. But I would like to have the HTML export to upload my stuff to my FTP host myself. When can we expect this update so that correct URLS will be displayed in HTML export? From my point of view much more important to provide something like this than all the store functions you offer now.

Sorry if I am honest here but I am sure something like this will help you.

Hello Gregory,

URLs are routed on the server side. This is why the feature to create links without .html is implemented only for paid users who can publish a Site with Nicepage hosting and connect a custom domain.
Sites created for further export to HTML and hosting with third-party servers can be adjusted directly on the server to create links without .html
You can check this part Techniques to Optimize URL Structures for SEO in the article from the link.

I actually do have Nicepage hosting and am a paid user, so am able to use the feature, which I discovered on my own a while back Would be nice if it didn't take four months to get this response.

Hello Gregory,

You can check the box to create links without .html in the URL only for sites published with Nicepage hosting and assigned custom domains. For sites published with any other hosting company, this feature is not working. Only users with paid licenses can assign a custom domain to a site published with Nicepage, which is why the Nicepage license is important in this case.
Let us know in case you have any other questions.
