1 year of updates are included and you can use the last desktop version released before the updates end, indefinitely.

After my free year of updates, what is the cost for future updates? Also does nicepage support MySQL data bases?

Unfortunately, Nicepage doesn't support MySQL databases. But we have a PHP element that you can paste on your blocks, but it will work through the Nicepage plugin/extension on WordPress and Joomla websites which MySQL does support.
