Ask a Question

If I go to the template in Joomla 4 and change the footer by editing footer.php. that change is not reflected in the live site. I would periodically change a date in the footer without necessarily regenerating and reloading the template itself. Is this a nicepage issue or a Joomla issue? I cannot tell.

This video demonstrate the problem:-

What is going wrong?
Regards,
Rob

oh my goodness!! Did you really bypass everything Joomla does and bury things in an enormous app.js javascript file. So Joomla is basically useless with Nicepage?

Hello Robert,

Please resent your video that demonstrates the issue.
Nicepage provides an option to add custom PHP code - please look into the list of Elements in your desktop application, more info here - https://nicepage.com/doc/164390/php-element. Please check and test this option.
The other way is to manually edit the php code of your uploaded Nicepage Theme in the way you described, although we cannot be responsible for the result of such customization. To check the changes you can test your native Joomla page with the updated theme set as default. For a Nicepage page, you would need to change the page template configuration to test the changes.

Let us know.

Sincerely,
Anna.

What was the problem with the first send of the video?
Bottom line: It looks like all changes to a Joomla site must be made through Nicepage and not through Joomla itself.

Hi Robert,

Video is missing:

It depends on the settings you need to apply. Have you checked the Joomla article with your edited theme?
