Ask a Question

I have reCAPTCHA 3 on my site. It is not blocking anything. I see on my Recaptcha admin console I have 100% suspicious requests at a 0.1 score and they all get through. I need to raise the threshold to .05 but I have not found a way to change it. I see on other software that there is a threshold change mechanism. How do I change it on nicepage?

Thanks for your help.

Hi David,

There is no way to set this threshold in Nicepage. If you are able to set it in Google settings when getting the reCaptcha keys, then please try this option.

User Frey2 posted this previously:

-Inserted a new field in the contact form.
(Accept conditions checkbox)
-Given the field a new name (I am not a robot).
-Marked as necessary

Recaptcha V3 is controlled by Google, and in my experience is very variable.

Thanks MerlinAZ. I saw your comment in another answer and tried is yesterday without luck. The bots seem to find the additional checkbox, check it and get through.

I initially just used a checkbox field. I have now changed it to an accept conditions checkbox. Hopefully it will help.

It looks like other software provides an input to recaptcha (google) that allows for an easy change to the threshold levels. Without it recaptcha seems to be just a reporting tool that lets me know I get a lot of spam.
