Site name has already been used

We had to reset our computer and reinstall NicePage. When we go to publish our webpage at xxxx.nicepage.io, it gives us a new name for the site (e.g. xxxx2.nicepage.io). If we put in the old name where the site is presently hosted we get the error "site name has already been used." How can we keep publishing to the site name that we've always been using?

Hi Richard,

We had to reset our computer and reinstall NicePage.

How did you move the project to the new system installation? It looks like you exported and imported the project. In this case, the project folder does not contain the special file that keeps the publishing data. Therefore, the application considers this website as a different website. Therefore, if there is no possibility of getting the initial project folder from the Documents/Nicepage projects directory, we recommend that you unpublish the website under the Profile >> Sites and then publish the "new" website.
Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Olivia

I have a custom domain hosted by WordPress.
I am trying to publish my NicePage site using this custom domain. However, in the Publish and Export dialog box, the Custom domain field is empty. When I enter my domain name, I get a message "Entered domain is already in use".
Publishing without the custom domain name in the field, publishes my site only to the nicepage.io.
The domain is properly configured in WordPress.

Hi,

The custom domain option can be used for the HTML sites only. If you have a WP site that already uses your domain you need to install the theme on that site. Please check the articles about working with Nicepage and WP:
