This is a follow up on contact form not working. Nicepage was given access to my Wordpress site, but could not make it work and I was asked to contact my web host. I did and finally got an answer (they are not as quick and helpful as Nicepage...) Problem is, that they could not find anything wrong their end either - so I'm stuck in the middle, with a lame contact form on a customer site.
Contact Form 7 seams to be the only contact option in Nicepage. It would be nice to have an alternative. Also, the setting of Contact Form 7 may be limited and simple, but still not something one would expect to be dealing with when using Nicepage. A Nicepage generated site should in my opinion "work out of the box" when exported to Wordpress - otherwise the position as "user-friendly and no code solution" in the theme/builder market will be questionable.
Now, you know I say this in the most caring way. I for one would like to see Nicepage as a real contender among the top level builders on the market. Nicepage can claim a unique position, not only as a desktop solution but also with real web 3.0 functions. No other builder offers that. But we need to have a more solid basic structure of what an everyday website consist of.
I know you work full time on improving basic things (updates are coming like bullets from a Gatling gun) - and you are probably frustrated because users are yelling for more fancy widgets. That was exactly what happened to Adobe Muse: The Adobe devs concentrated too much on new stuff, and left serious problems in the core coding stranded in the process. Just look what that leaded them to. So please: Make the basic things work properly, before engaging on exiting new blings.
Love you guys! Keep up the good work - and spirit :)
