Hi,

Thanks for your interest in Nicepage!

The Post Content Element is a placeholder. Therefore, the height of the Post Content Element depends on the actual content that is displayed through this Element. The larger content is, the higher this Element will be.

Let us know if you have any further questions!

Even on long blog posts seems like only limited characters shown in category blog view. I mean introduction text, the full text can be readed after Read More. Seems first 255 characters is showed from each category blog article.

Hi,

Yes, on the blog page, only part of the text is shown by default. Unfortunately, it cannot be changed in Nicepage but if you use CMS (WordPress, Joomla), the number of symbols can be edited in the settings of CMS.

Let us know if you need our further help!

Thank You for the answer!

I think it's hard coded in Nicepage template like maxlength, because the same content in category blog view on the same installation on another (not Nicepage) template works as expected according Read More divider into article. Nicepage template ignores Read more divider and cuts 255 characters for intro.

Hi,

The Blog Template in Nicepage displays the intro of your articles while the Post Template displays the full article. Anyway, for a better understanding, could you please attach a few screenshots demonstrating the different between a Nicepage template and another template?

Hi,

It seems that these templates have different symbol limits in the previews of posts. In general, blog pages have introductory purposes, and they are originally not supposed to display full blog posts. In the Nicepage app, it is not possible to change the number of symbols displayed with this element. We have added this feature to our wishlist.

This limit, however, can be edited in the WordPress and Joomla settings.

Let us know if you need our further help!

At first- Thank You for excellent support. Unfortunately I cannot found detailed instructions how to make TEMPLATE for Joomla. There are many instructions how to create PAGES in Joomla. The biggest mystery is how to create block /position for Joomla's component in template (article):

    <main>
    <jdoc:include type="component" />
    </main>

Let me explain. I have a Joomla site with articles and blogs. As ideal solution I would like to change site visual. This can be done by new template (not recreating all pages).

Right now I cannot find how to define Joomla component placeholder in Nicepage- look at code upper for main content. The blue zone in attached image.

BTW- Happy Easter!

Thank You

Hi,

If it is a native Joomla article, it uses the Post Template of a Nicepage theme. If you want to add modules to this article, you need to add the Position and Widget Elements to the template, name them, export the theme, install it, and assign modules to newly created positions.

If you created a Nicepage page in Joomla, the process is almost the same: open the page in the Nicepage editor for Joomla, add the Position and Widget Element, save the changes, and assign a module.

Let us know if you have any further questions!

PS. Happy Easter!

Thank You.
That it is, but the question is- how to create "component" placeholder in Nicepage. May be component occupies the rest between positions?

Hi,

In Nicepage, you can only create positions for modules and add the Shortcode Element for integrating third-party components and plugins. Anyway, could you please explain to us what component you want to embed to a Nicepage template? We will try to help you.
