Ask a Question

Where is the callup of the background image in the HTML code?

The thing is I want to change the background image to load from imagekit.io to load faster.

I changed that within nicepage, but I DON'T want to upload the new nicepage file overtop of my website on godaddy, because I have made many manual changes to the godaddy files for things that cannot be done in nicepage (like removing html from links).

I can't find any difference in the html file for when I had the image loading locally or when it was loading from imagekit.
It seems to be a part of the theme.

Does this mean that editing and saving my nicepage file with the imagekit.io image URL will automatically change the image on th website because the website is pulling the background image from the theme? Or is there something else I need to do to get it to work?

I figured this one out myself. Had to edit the CSS file.

Well Anna, that would be completely absurd, considering the html files are unusable without editing. When you don’t have such a basic and easily programmable feature such as taking .html off the page links (to be compatible with http access) then not supporting editing the file is basically saying “our product doesn’t work very well and we don’t support you manually making it work”.

Hello,

Nicepage editor has no such option as taking .html off the page links, usually, redirects could be managed with your server settings.
Nicepage export to HTML generates simple HTML pages. We do not support any exported file customization because without knowing your skills we can not guarantee the performance of the page after your changes.
Therefore, you can edit any files of the project, but you do it at your own risk. Our sites work well without customization.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Sincerely,
Anna.
