does anybody know why this is happening and how I can fix it? I uploaded my theme from the desktop app to wordpress.

Yes , i know.
Please update the Nicepage plugin in Wordpress to 5.4.0.
Then your problem is gone :-)
It took me a few hours to figger it out.
