Ask a Question

Hi
On the following post abtract page, both post abtracts have the same dates (the date was Mon Jan 16 2023 when I modified the post abstract template.
https://guanyintang.cloud/%E5%90%8C%E4%BF%AE%E5%88%86%E4%BA%AB.html

However when I click "继续阅读" (read more) the date on the post 1 is Dec 30, 2022. and the date on the post 2 is Jan 09, 2023.

My question is: how to make the dates on the abstract page the same as those in the posts? I did not find places to change dates.

Many thanks!

Hello Fagang,

Yes, there is no such option to change the post metadata date.
The blog page should output the same date of the post being modified.
Please resave your posts, make some changes to your Blog and Post template to resave templates, save and republish your site.
Let us know your result please.

Hi,
I have to say the solution you provide is NOT a long term solution. Image when I have hundreds of posts in history, after I do a bit change on the post template then I have to change all posts like what you suggested and all posts will take the same date when I change the post template. Do you think this is a right solution? I do NOT think so.

I was a programmer who wrote a lot of C++ codes in the past. Based on what I knew on coding, it is very simple for you guys to modify the code and let the two positions in posts to take the posted dates which you system already saved instead of taking the date of modifying the post template. I do not understand: why don't you modify the code but provide a bad solution?

Thanks!

Hello Fagang,

Unfortunately, we do not have such functionality for the HTML blog page since Nicepage has no database. We would recommend considering CMS using more extended Blog options.
Your request is added to our wishlist.

We have checked the blog menu with the default project and have no such issues.
Please try to resave your Post template, resave your posts and publish your site once again, this should help to synchronize dates.

Thank you.
