Hello,
We are a web development team and we are trying out the trial version of NicePage. After trying literally ALL the alternatives on the planet, we have come to the conclusion that NicePage is the BEST html content creation tool. Our best compliments to Artisteer!
So, we would be ready to move all our production to this tool....
BUT... there is a but:
1) We cannot believe that in order to preview the content, it is necessary to CLICK on the Preview menu icon, then CLICK again on the desired browser...
We feel that this is a really 80's way of doing things and slows down the workflow... one cannot abandon the keyboard to click (twice!) with the mouse each time just to see a preview!
There should be a shortcut to launch the preview in the browser!
2) Linked to the previous point, there is another serious shortcoming. Since we work with a local web server to test our sites (like most of us web developers!), we set the local root of the Apache server to point to the temporary NicePage folder (where NicePage saves the generated html and project files for previewing)... so we can see the changes in REAL TIME... but the changes are not updated until you perform the complicated procedure described in step 1... Click... Click! If there was that damn shortcut, we could preview the changes in REAL TIME and go very fast. This would improve the efficiency of NicePage by 1000%, making it the best tool of its kind in the entire history of web development. it's a shame that this procedure is so cumbersome right now!
PLEASE tell us that we are wrong and that THERE IS A WAY to set up a shortcut to launch the preview in the browser (and thus also update the temporary html content on our disk).
Amazing software like yours cannot lack this FUNDAMENTAL feature and force the user to interrupt his workflow to click (twice) on a menu just to preview!
Previewing is the most frequent operation you perform, dozens or hundreds of times per hour, so you can't click and click every time! A waste of valuable time and efficiency....
I look forward to your feedback, THANK YOU !
