Report a bug

Best regards Nicepage developers team,

I have made several web pages from 1 to 10% with the Nicepage DESKTOP application, and from 11% to 100%, I have finished with the Nicepage WEB PLUGIN application.

This means, that the vast majority of % of the website construction, I advanced it from the website with the Nicepage PLUGIN, and it also means, the initial construction from 1 to 10% is outdated, because I continued with the construction from the website with the nicepage plugin.

However, I need to make a simple modification in the integrated template module, that is, specifically in the template "Post Template", I want to add another icon social networks "Youtube" and place your link, as well as, I want to place the links to Facebook, Twiter and Instagram.

From the website with the Nicepage Plugin, I enter the template option to make the changes mentioned above, and it is still disabled, forcing me that these changes must be made through the Nicepage desktop application.

I follow your instructions, I make the change from the Nicepage desktop, when I go to make the export, it drags everything I left built from the outdated template from the Nicepage desktop from 1% to 10%, and tells me that I must delete or uninstall the template that I built from the website with the Nicepage plugin, the advance from 11% to 100%. What it means is that it forces me to uninstall and alters all the content, headers, menus, makes me configure everything from 0 again, create menus and categories from Joomla, I restore everything as I had left it from 1% to 10%.

I do not want to uninstall the finalized template, I just want to update that specific field of the template "Post Template", which is the social networks, WITHOUT AFFECTING THE OTHERS. I don't know if I make myself clear. It doesn't make sense, that what one built for weeks and months, I erase it with the installation of an outdated template, which generated me the nicepage desktop.

Isn't there a way to export by specific block from the "Post Template" and then import it by specific block to Joomla, without affecting or altering the other contents?

That way, it is very cumbersome to build everything from the Nicepage desktop, because it takes more time to upload the export with a considerable weight of zip and often does not look the same on the web, as it is on the desktop.

There must be some way, that you can help me, in making this requested change in the "Post Template", specifically in the social networks box. If there is any way that works as I and I'm sure many users, explain to me step by step, how I should do.

The most logical is to ENABLE FROM PLUGIN WEB SITE ONLINE, the modification of the module "INTEGRATED TEMPLATES", and saves this problem.

Hi Edwin,

I do understand your point that editing of the Theme in the plug-in would be convenient for you and we'll add this option in our wishlist.
But I do not understand what exactly you can change in the theme on the site with the plug-in that can be then overridden by the new theme from the desktop application. As you cannot edit templates in the plug-in, the only way to edit them is to update the theme in the desktop application. So you need to export the Theme from the desktop application, without Content and Plug-in included. In this case it won't change all the content that you have created on your site with the plug-in.

Greetings.

Hi Hella,

You missed my point, I have built a robust page structure within the website, such as menus, categories, modules and I have configured each one in custom mode, if I do what you say, it takes away all the menus and submenus, that is more than 30 pages that I have created in that site, and I do not want to redo that tedious process from 0, and lose all those days of hard work, I just need to add in the "post template" the social networks icons and urls that I already mentioned above, I will not repeat it, I already reported it. Any modification I make with the Nicepage desktop in the different "Integrated Templates", like: "Post Template", "Blog template",... and I want to modify any feature of the elements like: "Breadcrumbs", "Post image", "Metadata"...., then I export it and import it to the website and install it, it erases all the pages and menus I have built. I have already done it, in a test bench for a web site, and it deletes almost everything and alters many things. How can it be done, please, make me a step by step, that works, just to make this change that I request, without affecting absolutely nothing of what I have built and configured my website. Therefore, we ask you to urgently activate, from the nicepage plugin in the online website, the template module, so we can make the changes needed and move forward on the issue.

Please would you do us a colossal help, we appreciate it, it is urgent, please!!!!!

Keep in mind what I told you, 80% I have built the website, in online mode, with the nicepage plugin, 20% I initially built it with the nicepage desktop application, that means that the web content of the nicepage desktop is outdated, that's what I mean. So, I can't export an outdated content and importing it to my online website, it is like starting from 0.

Hola Hella,

Hi Edwin,

I'm not sure why your menu is missing after the simple theme update. When you export the Theme only and do not include the Content i the exported file, the menu and content that you have edited on the site with the plug-in should not be changed. You can also check after the import of the Theme that the menu is assigned to the correct position so it is displayed where it should be.
In any case, your suggestion is added to our wishlist.

Kind regards,

Based on your suggestion, we already did it and it didn't work unfortunately, so please, we insist that you include this request, in URGENT mode, in your wish list, and EXECUTE it, since it would solve us once and for all and it would facilitate us to have in edit mode the post templates, online from the nicepage plugin, we reiterate that it is a FIRST INSTANCE and FUNDAMENTAL requirement.

We will be anxious that you fulfill this request in the future versions of nicepage.

Hi Edwin,

Thank you for bringing this very important topic. I have manually added some plugins into the theme, and if I need to edit the template, I have to go to the desktop app, edit and export; then I have to insert all the plug-ins again. That is so frustrating that I quit my project with Nicepage. It would make life so easy.

From me +1 to your suggestion.

Thank you for your valuable support, this function is vital and essential for everyone, it is very frustrating to redo everything, I think that for this year I will not renew Nicepage.
