Ask a Question

Hi Nicepage,

Honestly, I'm glad you guys are developing Nicepage theme builder, but there are a few things that are just difficult to understand.

So I'm trying to create a projects page template design, where I have different projects listed and when each are clicked, it will be populated with contents specific to that project.

Example:

Problem is, when I go to edit the Post Template, and when I add like an image gallery, in the preview stage on the desktop app, all posts have same contents except for the post title.

So how do I make it possible to see the images related to a particular post. Can this only be done with Nicepage WP plugin?

How do I go about installing WP, I just downloaded it, but it's asking for something like host or so..

Please direct.

Thank you

Here's the example site
https://www.dfdg.com/our-work/project/phoenix-college-building-a-renovations

So there's different headers and a slide image at the bottom..
Can I do this in the Post Template page? If yes, how?
Cause when I add elements to the template page, the same element shows for all Posts except the Post Title.
I'd like other elements to also show specific contents relating to the particular post.

Can I only do this with WP NP plugin? If yes, how please.

Thank you

Hi,

The content of the Post Template depends on the content of your blog posts. If you are developing a static HTML site, you can create and edit posts with Nicepage Desktop and Nicepage Online. If you use CMS (WordPress, Joomla), your Post Template will be used on the post pages created with WordPress or Joomla. You can also view this article: https://nicepage.com/doc/119180/post-template

The Nicepage plugin for WP does not allow editing the Post Template. You can only add the Post Details Element to a page.

Let us know if you need our further help!

So are you basically saying.. To create the example here https://www.dfdg.com/our-work/project/phoenix-college-building-a-renovations

I can do all this with the NP Desktop app or Web App?
Without having to play with Wordpress?

If yes, that's exactly what I want and how do I go about it.. Cause the idea is to have the client manage it themselves after done.. So they can just upload images and texts and have it automatically populate the Post Template for that particular article (just as seen in the website above).

I don't know if what I'm asking is clear enough, I can explain further if it's not exactly clear.

Thank you

Hi,

If you need to create a website with a big number of blog posts, it is better to use WordPress as it has more instruments for handling posts than the Nicepage app. Moreover, WordPress will allow your client to manage his site on his own.

With Nicepage, you can design the layout of blog and post pages in WordPress, and create regular pages using the Nicepage plugin for WordPress. You can check this part of the documentation: https://nicepage.com/doc/c/wordpress

Yeah... I've got a challenge...
I noticed someone added this to the forum sometime in February and the fix was for one of the team to manually remove it via code.

After adding a block to the library, and reusing it in another page or session, a white margin or so comes between the said block and other blocks over and below it.

I believe this is a bug from Nicepage App and I'd like to ask for how to resolve it and maybe a permanent fix through a quick software update.

Thank you

Hi,

Please export this block and attach it here so we could check it on our end. By the way, does the issue persist with other blocks?

Nope it doesn't persist with other blocks.. I think I figured it out..
Saving a block to the library causes this problem/bug.

So what I do now is to just copy the contents of the block over.. I also think copying the block can cause it, but not sure.

So I deleted the blocks, copied the contents over and pasted on a new native block created in the page.

That seems to fix the problem without so much challenge with the contents.

I'll keep you posted if I come across another issue.

Thank you

Will do... Thank you

Just wondering how the Post Template thing works with Wordpress and all... But I'm not yet tackling it, maybe when I get there and face any difficulty, I'll let you know.
Still have a lot I'm discovering about Nicepage.

Great software so far and hope you guys keep growing.
Cheers
