Ask a Question

Hello

I'm trying to make a new page. I have defined my text styles before I start with the layout (as usual. When I copy text (from a word document) in a nicepage text box (predefined text size, style and color) the color of the text changes. I can't change the color or the style. In older versions of Nicepage this was never a problem? What is wrong, what has changed, what do I wrong?

Best regards Daniel

Word documents can potentially contain a lot of "hidden" formatting elements. Sometimes when I cut/paste from a Word document, I am "unlucky" and grab only a partial formatting tag. This will result in strange results in the target document (whether a Nicepage element or a website code snippet).

If you've already defined your text styles in the Nicepage editor, consider pasting your Word content in PLAIN TEXT form into Nicepage. Then, perform the formatting and colouring you wish to apply within the Nicepage environment.

There may be simpler ways to implement this, but to get my Word documents in plain text, I paste the Word contents into a NOTEPAD page (notepad supports only plain text with no formatting); and then cut/paste from Notepad into Nicepage.

Hi Daniel,

Please avoid copy-paste from the editors that include their own formatting. Word adds additional styles when you copy the text and you cannot see the. We suggest copying the text into a plain editor like Notepad and then copy it to Nicepage from Notepad as it gives the plain text without formatting.
Let me know if that works.
