Yes possibly. Unfortunately not everyone is familiar enough to click on a hamburger menu. That is especially true of older people using a full screen browaer. The hamburger menu comes in handy for mobile devices. Most people using a mobile broswer know what a hamburger menu does.

The advantage of an on screen vertical menu is that it is unliimited in depth ( length) whereas horizontall and mega menus are limited.
So unless you have boxed yourself in technically I dont know why you would not implement it.
