Nicepage 4.2 to 5.0? I don't get it.

The title is more of a rhetorical question. I don't understand how Nicepage can jump from version 4.2x to 5.x. Other than dark mode, there really isn't any significant changes (dark mode isn't really significant either). Usually when you go up a whole number it's a significant update. This update should really be v 4.3.

Seems like more of a marketing ploy to me. If they added something like audio elements I'd be more excited. However audio elements should have been included in v1.0. It seems every other page builder has it but Nicepage. Derp.

Sorry to be a poo, but 5.0 is underwhelming and a huge disappointment.

The version numbers are actually meaningless since licenses include a year of updates no matter what version it is.

I've never heard of software versioning being dependent of the type of license or upgrades. You might already be aware that with semantic versioning a + 0.1 version increase would indicate a minor change, and a +1.0. change would indicate a major change. They went from 4.2 to 5.x with a minor change to try to mislead potential buyers into thinking that 5.0 is a bigger deal than it is. I've never seen any software company do that before. Seems kinda cheeky to me.

The last version was 4.21. Version 4.2 was released on December 14, 2021.

However, I also find that the update to version 5.0 has brought too few innovations. I expected much more. In general, the last updates were rather meager.

Hi,

We do a lot of cool and complicated features during a year and call them minor updates (following your logic) and once a year we celebrate all the new options that we have made during this year with Nicepage and make it a new version with a major version update. So it is more relevant to compare Nicepage 5.0 with Nicepage 4.0 version rather than 4.21.

Hi Nicepage Team,

it is a pity that you have to work with cheap marketing tricks. It would be better if you would shine with new features. Compared to Themler, Nicepage has e.g. still a very limited base animation system.
A real shame !

Daniel,

We accept your critique, however, we think that we are not playing games, we just follow the voting results. You can help if you create a private case and gather your favorite animate examples, providing links to them we will forward those to our dev team.

Thank you for your feedback anyway!
