How to vary line breaks for each responsive layout

Ask a Question

My header includes a logo image and slogan text. I need the line breaks for the slogan text to be different for each layout (desktop, tablet, phone, etc.) because the amount of space varies in each lyout. If they are not adjusted separately for each layout, the line breaks look very odd. When I change them in one layout, that change is reflected in the other layouts too - which I don't want. How do I control the line breaks independently for each layout?

Rich,

Each mobile mode is edited separately.
To vary line breaks, you can use the top orange marker. also the line-height parameter in the Panel

Thank you!

Thanks, but how do I access that orange marker when it's behind the formatting bar, which pops up in edit mode? Wouldn't it be a good idea to position the formatting bar so that it doesn't cover any controls?

Rich,

Please send us the screenshot, as you see the toolbar is not hovering the orange marker.

When I have the text box selected (image 1), I can not see or adjust the orange dot that controls the text wrap. If I select the the box it resides in though (image 2), I can see the orange dot and adjust the text wrap. This seems counter-intuitive.

Rich,

These orange markers are used for different purposes.

To see the orange markers for paddings select the container, not the element (in your case text) in it.

Yes, I realized that - as noted in my email. As mentioned previously, it seems counter-intuitive that, in order to adjust the line breaks for a block of text, you have to select something other than the text block.

Hi Rich,

in the presence of nesting controls the external control (Container) has an impact on the inner control (Text) too. Therefore depending on the result, you want to achieve you need to adjust the text control and the control where this Text is located.

Please let us know if you need our further assistance.
