Ask a Question

Hi,

I have seen that you have a password protection feature and I have read the tutorial on that. It looks quite straight forward.

How do we charge people for access to the page please? Meaning, can we have a link that opens up a Pay Page, which then emails them the password? I want to charge for some specific content.

Thank you in advance.

Ray

Hello Raymond,

I've been thinking about your request, so I came up with an idea.

Place 2 buttons on your website, and make a 2 steps process.

Users pay with a PayPal button, he get the receipt of payment. After that, you need to ask him to submit that receipt.

When he presses the button, Modal PopUp comes out, where he needs to write his email, attach the image file (receipt), and press submit. That Submit button redirects him to the Password page. The password you need to mention on the Modal Popup.

Hopefully it makes sense. :)

Hi Raymond,

That’s correct what the PayPal says.
Unfortunately, Nicepage doesn’t send automated emails with the password.

Hi Ahmad,

Sorry for the confusion. I am not putting the PayPal button into the email. The PayPal button is in the NicePage website. However, PayPay don't let me include a password into their automated emails. PayPal says I have to send a separate email with the password manually once someone purchases the product. Can that password be auto-sent or automated from NicePage please? I just think having to send the password manually is cumbersome.

Thanks again for your time and support.

Hello Raymond,

We didn’t suggest to place a PayPal button into the email. :)
Generate the code with PayPal button, place on the Nicepage HTML element with the code inside. Once the user will pay, you can send him the access/password to the Nicepage page with password.
Hopefully, it makes sense :)

Hi Ahmad,

I have already tried that, but PayPal doesn't allow me to edit the email that goes out to customers. Which means I cannot put the password into the email.

I could possibly put the password on the ThankYou Page, but that is not really a professional solution. Any other ideas on how to setup a PayWall in NicePage are greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time so far.

Hello Raymond,

Check the tutorial on how to generate the PayPal button with subscription or one time payment. It will give you the HTML code that you need to place in the HTML element on your Nicepage website. It will look like a button.

Feel free to contact us if you require our further assistance.

Thank you

Hi Ahmad,

Okay, I can do that on PayPal, but is there a tutorial on how to set this up for NicePage please? I imagine there would be some type of file or code that needs to sit in the root folder, etc.

Hello Raymond,

Thanks for contacting us and your interest in Nicepage

We do not have any links that will charge or email the password or set it automatically. You need to do it manually. For example, set up the payment buttons in Paypal and send an email with a password once the payment goes through.
