Thanks for the suggestion. We can consider this idea, but the main reason in not allowing to edit the code of each block is the guarantee that the page will work fine. I mean when the user has no access to the code, they can not screw it up and break some coding that may force the page down. That's why we only have the HTML control that allows inserting the custom code and could be easily located if the code was wrong and caused the issue on the page.
