Ask a Question

Hi there,
I created a new site in the windows app. Then transfered it to a joomla installation. Meanwhile there are a lot of changes made to the website by the online editor by me and my client. We currently discuss a transfer to another provider. That means a new blank joomla installation. How do I get the current website to work again. There must be an export or backup option for nicepage, but I found nothing.

regards

Hi Bernd,

The export of the content from the plug-in is not so easy so if you intend to change the type of your site, we recommend you to develop it completely in the desktop application. The Theme ca be easily exported in any desired format, but the content is not so easy convertible.

Hi Hella,
this is an easy option ... for you.
But if I need to change the underlying CMS from eg. Joomla to Wordpress or even native HTML, what are my options then?
Why can't I create a Backup, download a ZIP and import it to my PC-based Nicepage installation?
Isn't it possible or even essential for you to provide such a possibility for us as customers?

sincerely,
dB

Hi Bernd,

You need to use some Joomla tools to transfer the site, they should have extensions to completely export the site and then use this backup to open on a new site.
