You can export the Nicepage pages with any edition, even with the free one. But to edit and design the Nicepage pages in WordPress you can use the Personal edition.
However, we recommend designing your website in the Nicepage Desktop app, then exporting and uploading it to your website. So you can always have a backup.

do i need to buy the Ultimate edition to be able to export pages made in Nicepage or does one simply use the Nicepage plugin for Wordpress and have it done that way?

We can see that your account was registered before we moved to subscriptions. For old users, this option is still available. So you can purchase a lifetime Nicepage license with one year of free updates. After the updates expire, you can continue to use the last Nicepage version.
