Views are not independent. Moving or resizing an element in one view changes the element size and/or position in other views.

Report a bug

You are supposed to be able to move and resize elements for different device views; however, when you resize or move an element in the "portrait phones" view, for example, it also rearranges the "desktops" and other views. Using grids has been a nightmare because there's not enough flexibility to move items to fit phone views. The product does not perform as stated. I'm working from desktop application 3.29.1 with all updates installed. I've saved, exited, and rebooted with no difference in performance.

The recommended workflow is to work from left/desktop to right/mobile.
Adjustments to views isn't supposed to affect views to the left of the one you're working on, but sometimes does, and it can be frustrating.
Save often.
Press the reset button in the right panel if a specific block is causing an issue.
Let's see what support says.
They might want to look at your Project file.

Hi Maisha,

Please upgrade the application to the latest version and rebuild your block if this does not help, attach the exported project and provide the step-by-step instruction on how to reproduce the issue and also screenshots showing the problems that you have and what ypou are trying to achieve.

My site is not officially published for a reason. It amazes me how technicians never seem to think about a project from the perspective of the creator: maybe there's proprietary information I don't want to share. Regardless, I don't feel like recreating the issue on a blank project shell or taking screenshots. When I purchased a license it wasn't to help you work out kinks and improve your product. You did not present this product as if it was in beta, and I resent the additional time it's taking. This is a significant set back for my project. Every time I open Nicepage it recreates the problem from scratch so that if I fixed three views with only one more to work out, but I make a tweak on the main view, it re-screws up the three that were fixed. Every time! My time is better spent looking for a platform that actually works than renewing this license.

I agree with this entirely.. IT SHOULD NOT BE POSSIBLE FOR EDITING ON ONE VIEW TO AFFECT OTHERS!

In addition the new "lock" feature won't prevent this either.

This is supposed to be exactly what NP makes possible. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. VERY frustrating. I can't tell you how many times I've had to go back through 5 different viewports, make one change and now I'm super paranoid that it screwed up another view.

This is even true of a predesigned block! Try this.. drag a semi-complex block on to a page, then view it in all 5 views without making any edits. EVEN OUT OF THE BOX the designs are not truly responsive! Then if you try and tweak it in mobile/tablet, it will invariably screw up another view.

Oh, and by the way.. if you add another view port - say very large screens of tv displays.. you can't remove it.. So now I have SIX display sizes that I have to check. ARRRGGHHHHH!

Ever had your "Locked" header/menu section change even when you didn't touch it? Happens to me all the time.

I'm actually a big fan of NP. It is an outstanding program and I can see what it COULD be, but it's missing some key features that make it truly exceptional.

In my opinion, this is the single most important thing the NP team should be working on.
