Best Practise - Building Lots of Sites

Ask a Question

I will be building a lot of client html websites.

Is it better to build them in the desktop app or the online builder?

My worry is that as the number of sites increases the apps will get very slow and maybe unusable.

Also, it will be difficult to flip between the different sites as I have to scroll down to visually find the right site to work on.

Is there any easy way to store the sites locally - find the archive - restore it - and the edit it?

I just want an easy way to get my workflow organised so I'm not spending ages trying to find the right site to work on.

Thanks for your help

You will most likely need to build them using the desktop app since it allows a much greater number without limiting you to the number allowed for hosting depending on the license.

Hi John,

The default projects folder is stored locally in Documents >> Nicepage.
Your project folders will be named Site__#####.

You can copy these folders and store them safely elsewhere.

Thanks @MerlinAZ - is there any way to search/find sites easily without having to scroll endlessly through them?

Many thanks, John

Hi John,

There's no such possibility in Nicepage for now.
We appreciate your suggestion and we will add it to our wishlist.

It would be great if you could tag the sites or categorize them and have a search box.

Without this feature the extra levels of membership aren't really worth buying. Sorry to be blunt.

It's weird because there is a search box for pages within each site - but not one for finding sites.

I have already created over 150 websites in the Nicepage Windows application. So far I have not noticed that it has become slower.

Many thanks Emanuel - This gives me some comfort and hopefully Nicepage will at some point make a search function to find a particular site. Thanks again, John
