Ask a Question

I am hoping that there is a way to use Nicepage on the same websites from home and work. I would only be using Nicepage at one location at a time, obviously.
I stated using NP at home recreating a simple website that I had already done and starting a new website that a customer wants me to update. Thus when I go to sites on my home computer at home I see both sites, by name, and I can choose to work on either one that I want to.
I loaded NP (desktop) on my work computer and go to sites neither of the 2 sites I worked on are there. How I do I get those two sites to show up so that I can choose to work on them on my computer at work?
Hope that all makes sense. Thanks in advance for your help. - Phil

If you are building them with the web app you just need to log in.
If you are using the desktop app, you need to export the Project file from one computer, email it to yourself or transfer to a flash drive, and import that Project file into the other system.
There is no sync on desktop.

So you're saying that a website created in the NP desktop app isn't even synced to the web app? How strange. So where is the desktop app saving the websites then?
So if you exported the websites to cloud storage like Dropbox that you could access multiple places that would work too?
I think this is information that they really neglect to disclose upfront. I use other software that as long as you are logged in to your account no matter where you access it from your data is available to you. I should think as long as you are logged in to your NP account no matter on the desktop app or the web app all versions should be able to access the same data, websites.
This just complicates trying to work from multiple locations with the desktop app. So this brings up the question of why have the desktop app then? I guess I have to rethink how I'm going to use NP then.
So if I export the 2 websites I created to the web app once no matter where I use the web app the sites will be synced?

Hi Phil,

So you're saying that a website created in the NP desktop app isn't even synced to the web app? How strange. So where is the desktop app saving the websites then?

Correct. We appreciate your suggestion and we will add it to our wishlist.

So if you exported the websites to cloud storage like Dropbox that you could access multiple places that would work too?

Yes, because you can download and import the project to the Online Builder for example.

So if I export the 2 websites I created to the web app once no matter where I use the web app the sites will be synced?

Correct.

The projects made using the Nicepage desktop app are saved locally on your device in the default folder Documents >> Nicepage

So I decided to start using the web app instead of the desktop app and exported one of my websites from the desktop app to the web app. I am signed up under the Business premium plan but when I try to import a second website a pop up appears encouraging me to Upgrade to Premium or it says "I have a license activate now" I have chosen activate now several times and it indicates that activation was successfully completed but still does let me import a second webiste from the desktop app to the web app. What am I doing wrong and why can't I import more than one website from the desktop app to the web app? Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer..

Hello Phil,

Thanks for contacting us

We can see that you already have three (3) websites in the Online Builder. Your Business premium plan is limited in the Online Builder with three (3) websites. So you can delete other websites if you don't need them and move them to the Nicepage Desktop app. Because in the Nicepage Desktop app, you can create up to 50 websites.

Thank you

Sincerely,
Ahmad.

There was no mention that I saw between the number of websites I could create in the Desktop app and the online app. That's disappointing to say the least.
