Report a bug

After creating a page, "default" appears at the bottom of the page of my Joomla! website.

The line appears directly underneath this line of code:

script src="/administrator/components/com_nicepage/assets/js/nicepage.js"

This bug was not present in Nicepage v. 1.0.219 but is present in 1.3.4 and1.4.0

Hi Marcus,

Have you edited the theme? Or maybe you are using some plug-in to move the links and scripts in the bottom of the page? Those lines should be originally in the HEAD section.

Hi Hella,
I was using a page speed plugin - https://www.jch-optimize.net/

Clearly, nicepage doesn't play nice with jch optimize.

That's that particular mystery solved.

Hi Marcus,

Probably you can try to use some other plug-in for these purposes.

Hi Hella,
I note that there's now a support article which details the problem here: https://nicepage.com/doc/article/33045/unable-to-remove-text-from-a-page-in-nicepage-joomla-extension

I went in and looked at the HTML source created by Nicepage. Here's a small snippet:

.u-section-3 .u-container-layout-4 {padding-left: 10px; padding-right: 10px}\n.u-section-3 .u-group-1 {width: 424px}\n.u-section-3 .u-container-layout-5 {padding-left: 10px; padding-right: 10px} }\/*\/RESPONSIVE_MEDIA*\/\n\n\/*RESPONSIVE_MEDIA*\/@media (max-width: 575px){ .u-section-3 .u-image-2 {width: 246px}\n.u-section-3 .u-image-3 {width: 264px; margin-left: 28px; height: auto; margin-top: initial; margin-bottom: initial}\n.u-section-3 .u-group-1 {width: 340px} }\/*\/RESPONSIVE_MEDIA*\/\n\n\n\n\nlanding_with_header_footer\n",

I could be wrong, but it seems we have a syntax error here.

I can see a solitary quotation character " which doesn't seem to be enclosing anything.

I'm thinking that if Nicepage fixed this syntax error, JCH Optimize would work perfectly with Nicepage.

As I noted back in April, "This bug was not present in Nicepage v. 1.0.219 but is present in 1.3.4 and 1.4.0"

It'd be great to get this fixed with the next point release.

Hi Marcus,

Nicepage templates are valid and do not have any extra brackets or tags. As mentioned in the article, the JCH Optimize plugin optimizes page HTML and removes some tags used by Nicepage. This causes validation problems and the reported issue. Unfortunately, there is nothing to fix from our side.
