I've decided I wanted to redesign a footer I couldn't delete it so I removed all the elements in the footer. I now have a totally blank footer but still can't remove it. Where is the command to delete the footer so that I can start again with a new one?
Open the site.
In the left column at the top, it gives you the option to list the "Outline."
If you do that, you should be able to see the footer and delete it.

It is impossible to remove the Footer and Header from a project completely. You can only uncheck these boxes:

Merlin AZ - i've opened the siteand I'm looking at the home page. In the left hand column the top item is the Blue + sign - I'd don't see anywhere where it says list the outline ?
Support :- So once you've chosen a footer it is not possible to change that for another design?
That seems not very logical. So you have to manually rebuild the existing footer ? So I have to ask what is the point of having the selection of different footers if you can only choose one when you first start a project?

I can now see the outline page on my site.
I was not trying to change the footer style on a different page or even hide it on some pages, but I was wanting to change the footer style throughout the project. I do think it's a limitation if it can't be deleted and another footer style added to replace the original one chosen. After all its only another type of Block and these can be added and deleted during the build process so why not the footer?
In my case I started with a footer which didn't include a google maps image. I then decided I would like that as part of my footer so I tried to change the footer style to one which included the Google maps - but its not possible is it, or am I missing something?

Delete your current footer and replace it with one that has the elements you want. Then customize it.
