Change button styles

My buttons are appearing with a light grey background but I would like to have the background green and change to blue on hover. Under theme settings I set the button to the way I want it but it is not appearing the way I want it on my Joomla site. Am I doing it wrong? Please could you show me how to do it the right way,

Thje site is not live yet, it's still on my localhost.

Hi, Julie,

It looks like the button you highlighted on the first screenshot used default Joomla styles. Clarify please, is this a Joomla module form? If yes, please note that Joomla modules have their own styles, and they cannot be edited by Nicepage.

Thanks Paul. You are quite right. All my joomla modules appear with the grey buttons but if I do inspect elements the code is coming from template.css. That's why I thought it was a template issue
