Hallo NP

I want to get people to be able to download some files in a folder online.

Can I use a dropbox folder for this, or maybe a onedrive folder, or do you have any other recommendations? Please other than google drive :-)

You should be able to use any online host for users to download files.
You will need to use the full URL for the links.
https://www.hostsite.com/filesfolder/file.pdf

I'm using my own host.
I created a folder and put all my files to download inside it, and linked to the files.

And yes you can use any external links including to the Dropbox.
