Joomla: Sort of articles in block menu item

Hello,

I show articles in a blog. When I make change in one of the older articles, it is now placed at first position! So if have to edit all other articles to have the right sort again.

Why is it not posible to sort the articles for dated created which makes more sense for me than date updated.

Joomla offers this and more, why not nicepage?

Something new?

I need a blog for some sites with influence on the sorting, sort by modify date isn't useful for our needs.

In joomla category blog there are some different useful options, but joomla category blog does not work with nicepage ....
