Ask a Question

Good morning
If I create, with your tool, a site for joomla 3.10.11 how can I then update everything to joomla 4.2.0?
When I say everything I mean plugins, templates and content.
Thanks in advance

Hi Francesco,

The content should remain on your site when you upgrade the Joomla installation. But the theme and plug-in should be exported from Nicepage desktop application again choosing the 4 version in the export dialog as the theme and plug-in are different for Joomla 3 and 4.

Do I have to first delete the theme and the plugin in the 3.x version of joomla, switch to the 4.x version and then reinstall the theme and the plugin?
Is this the correct step?

Hello Francesco,

First of all, we strongly suggest backup your website, and upgrading your Joomla to 4.x version, after that you could only export your Theme with the plugin with the 4 version selected in the export dialogue.

Hi Francesco,

No, you will need to install the new theme and new plug-in on the updated Joomla 4 site.

Hi guys,

uninstalling Nicepage in Joomla 3 destroyed the complete backend oh the website.

'/home/.sites/576/site1826229/web/joomla/administrator/components/com_nicepage/library/loader.php'
(include_path = '.: / usr / local / php5 / lib / php')

So: make a backup first!
