Ask a Question

Hello,
thanks for the great new update first.

I have not found out how to set different names for the single pages in the different languages.

Example:

Name in German: impressum
Name in English: imprint
and so on

I found out how to change the SEO settings, but when changing the name of the single page it always shows same name in all languages.

Kind regards

Please make sure also to add possibility to change the names of the exported pages in the different languages.

Concrete example:

German: impressum.html
English: imprint.html

This would be very essential - I am sure not only for us - thank you

Hi Tonttu,

The implementation of such a menu in Joomla has its own peculiarities. At this moment, this functionality is under development. It will be improved in the future Nicepage updates.

Hi Lilioneta,

thanks for the quick answer. Unfortunately, this doesn't work as expected.

  • I checked my online builder and there the labels are already ok. So it looks like as you recommend. But that's lost during export/import to Joomla.

  • Trying directly on Joomla/Nicepage doesn't help either. Once the lable is changed, it remains for all languages. Once I test my site, only one menu language remains and links go all to the primary language version of my site.

Cheers!

Hi,
thanks I can work with the html export, so this would be ok for me.
I meant that it would be better having the possibility for the names of the exported files too.
e.g.
/fi/joulupukki.html
/en/santaclaus.html
/de/weihnachtsmann.html

;-)

Hi,

I got the same issue (also with version 4.15.8). I'm using three languages (Finnish, German, English) and the site should run on Joomla 4 (currently version 4.1.5). I understand using Page --> Name is the correct place for updating the menu for different language.

  • Using the Nicepage Joomla plugin I can change some page names on the menu, but when publishing the page the entire menu is in English. Interestingly, when when clicking on a language flag, the page switches to the correct language, but the menu stays in English and the links lead to the English pages.

  • With Nicepage Desktop it works a bit better. Even the local preview on a browser is ok. But after exporting everything for Joomla and importing there, well, then menu is again all in English.

  • Exporting the page from the Online builder has same behaviour as using the Desktop application.

Well, there are a couple of other bugs, too. But the menu is the critical one. Thumbs up for finding a solution or workaround.

Cheers!
