URGENT: Remove Password Protection from a page

I've seen several deleted posts asking this question without an answer. Somehow I mistyped something and a page was password protected. Removing the password from the field does not restore it to public view. How do we restore passworded pages to public view?

And could you add this information to your documentation?

For anyone who's run into this problem in Wordpress - go to the Wordpress Pages page for the password protected page. Find the Password Protected link (near the published/draft area) and change the page to Public. Save and republish.

For anyone who's run into this problem in Wordpress - go to the Wordpress Pages page for the password protected page. Find the Password Protected link (near the published/draft area) and change the page to Public. Save and republish.
