Ask a Question

I started a webpage and was using three slides on first page. I set it up as a slider and not a slide on a section. However, all was well until a few days ago and noticed my text had disappeared from one of the slides. So in trying to get it back I then noticed that the image in preview was not showing fully as it had done previously. The first and last slide were ok at that point. I then thought ok maybe we now have to start altering images to fit..and so have been using image resizing to do so but it had no effect! Anyway cut a long story short eventually none of the images were seen in preview as they were in work mode. Then text which I had put in a container was also not where I placed it. IT was moving up the page. After a lot of messing about trying to resolve it I eventually lost my website! Now I am trying to rebuild and thought I would start with the slider first to see if same thing happens before I put anymore effort in. Yep! Now with one of the standard sliders and image already in place and no alterations from me I have spotted that when in preview the image is cut top and bottom. Not really the best thing if you want the whole image to be seen... this only happened a few days ago and up till then it had been fine..images could be put in with no worries at all and what you see is what you got. Now its changed ??? Help can you explain please ...this was one of those aspects that was great with Nicepage and now it seems to have been changed .

Jeff,

This looks like some buggy behavior. Could you please send us screenshots, also the video with the screen capture would also be helpful.

In severe cases, we recommend redoing sections, since in Nicepage it is not that hard, as it may be some backward problem.

Thank you!

hope this might help??? same image diff sizes in nicepage but image is 1200 x900 in top one... what you see in workmode is now not what you get..which it was until a few days ago. I have been altering image sizes but so far to no avail.
The text thus moves and is not where I want it.. (this is just an example I have set up to try and show whats happening.)I hope it shows it ok

Hi Jeff,

I've checked the attached project. Let's look at the first slide. It has fixed height 900px. The width of the slide depends on the viewport width. The viewport width is different in the editor and in the browser preview. In other words, the browser used in the editor has a smaller width because of the side panels than a real browser on your computer. Therefore the Slider width changes when you preview the page in the browser or in Quick preview. The image is used as a background image with "cover" fit. It means then when the slide width is increased (>1200px) the image width as well as its height is increased to cover the slide. The image is cropper when its height is bigger than slide height. if you change the image Fit to "contain", you will see the whole image and empty gaps which were created by the difference between slide and image sizes. Therefore this behavior is by default. As an alternative, I suggest that you reduce the Slide height in each responsive mode.

I also compared the position of Text control (heading 3) in the editor and the browser preview. It remains the same. Please note that the Text control is positioned relatiму to the Slide, not the Slide background image. Could you please provide a few screenshots that demonstrate the issue with text position on your side?
