I have created a free website on the NicePage desktop application and am aware that I cannot connect it to a custom domain unless I pay for a premium plan. Is there a way to do it for free using one of the related companies, Wordpress, Joomla etc., or do they all require you to pay one way or another?

Unfortunately, there's no way to connect a domain name for free. In any way, first you need to purchase a domain name from any registrar domain name company. After that you will be required to find a hosting space, that is not for free also. Or you can just publish your website with a subdomain name on our hosting with Free Starter Plan
