Report a bug

Hello, I'd like to clean up the old files in the WordPress Uploads folder to get rid of unnecessary and outdated content that just multiplies there with each new web update swells.
Unfortunately, I don't see a single sensible way to do this without having to install a completely new WordPress.
When I delete all the files in "Uploads", they are not visible anywhere when importing a new current template, although I can see the newly uploaded ones in the directory. (uploads / 2022/06). But the web still reaches for old files, why? When importing the template, I chose import no, import / replace.

Hi Pavel,

Unfortunately there is no such option to delete the unused files. But if you upload the content once and continue to create and edit it inside WP, then there would be no duplicates of your media after each content import.

OYes, now of course the pictures are visible ... I won't leave the customer with a totally scattered website. I had to restore the site from a backup. Anyway, your answer is not what I asked. Unfortunately, I have to get used to the fact that I have to check everything if the update didn't bother me. My question is how do I clean up the old unused files in Nicepage, which I get there with each new update. There are several plugins for WP, but they are not functional. I'd rather have a solution in the editor, something like "delete all unused files".

Hi Pavel,

I have opened your site and I see the images tight there/ https://www.palubky-rezivo.eu/
Also when you remove all the old resources and upload the new content you need to check that your menu is pointing to the newly imported pages that were imported with the images and not the old copies of those pages with the images you have deleted.
