Updater not working

On 4.11.3. Notified of new version 4.12.5, click Download. Appears to download (progress bar on taskbar icon), but never proceeds with closing/installing.

Vote to pay developers attention to this features or issue.

Try pausing your antivirus.

I've heard this advice before, Merlin, however when installing an application is precisely when I want Antivirus to be ON.

At any rate, this concern is closed - in one of my attempts to install the update, I just let it sit. It did finish the install eventually, taking about 10 minutes.
