Ask a Question

Can I change the location where my images are stored for use on my website. At the moment they are in a folder on my C drive in folder: Nicepage\images. I want them stored on my D drive rather than my C drive. Indeed, is there a way I can specify default locations for all files relating to the site I'm creating?

Technically, yes, but I never recommend it.
You can try copying your Documents\Nicepage folder to your D: drive, rename the original folder to NicepageOLD, and then go into the Preferences and point the project folder to the correct new folder, close NP and reopen it and see if it works.
But like I said, I don't recommend it because it can cause a lot of issues.
Hard drive space is cheap and the pics don't really take up a lot of space.
Support may add their thoughts.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I have other programs where the software supplier has said that changing folders "can cause a lot of issues". My reason for wanting to use my D drive is because I have several terabytes of space on it whereas my C drive is small. What I've done previously is to set up a redirect on the drive so that the default remains unchanged but the actual storage is on D (for example, I do this with iTunes and it works well even though Apple told me it could cause issues; it doesn't). I would much prefer to have an option in Nicepage where I can specify default folders and would welcome the thoughts of the support team.

Hi John,

You can try to do what was suggested above and move your project files to another location and point there as to your default projects folder under the Profile >> Preferences, but I highly suggest to create the backups of all your projects before doing that.
