Editing in Mobile View affecting other modes.

I have seen dev/mod responses to this issue saying that you actually can edit in Mobile View without it affecting desktop, but the WordPress plugin is not allowing for this. It has become a huge issue. Every time I make a change on the mobile view, it changes the desktop view as well. I really really need this to work.

Edited to add that this is not just the plugin, but the desktop app as well.

It’s recommended to build the site from left/desktop to right/mobile.
If a block becomes an issue, select it and press the reset button and try again.
If it would be possible to code a “lock switch” on each page, I think that would help, but I’m not a coder and I don’t know if it’s even possible.
