Image Importing and switching from Wordpress design to HTML design

Ask a Question

Currently using the Nicepage image importer we can only import one image at a time. This of course makes the program very slow to use. Will this be corrected in future versions.

Also in desktop when switching from a wordpress design to an HTML design, the images all vanish from within the template we have built. I suspect this might be because when we start the new project we create a new folder.

But regardless the reason, really this should not happen because the reason for using the existing project is to copy over existing format and if all the pictures vanish it defeats the object.

I hope this can be resolved.

Thanks

Hi Andrew,

In general, when you import the image in Nicepage you're doing this for one specific place. Therefore you need just one image.
But if you're working with CMS plugin you can import all desired images into the CMS media library and then use these images in Nicepage.

The theme feature is available for CMS projects. HTML websites include Nicepage pages only. Exactly what images you're referring to?

Thanks Olivia,

I am referring to any image that i try to import into the desktop version of Nicepage.

Unlike other programs we use i cannot seem to find any Image library. Can i therefore assume that you are talking about when we use programs like Wordpress and then you are suggesting to import the images into that CMS library. If so we would rather avoid that. We prefer to work in most images with HTML, so it would be really useful if you would include and image editor and image storage area within the Desktop version of Nicepage, so that we can not only import multiple images into Nicepage but so that we can do basic editing without having to switch to Adobe Photoshop and such like.

In any case when we switched from a design created in Wordpress to a HTML design, the images have still disappeared the next time we tried to export images into a new folder for our new design.

In the end we had to manually copy the images into the folder to get them to appear.

Is there a way in future that this could be integrated to make this more seamless and automatic process.

Many Thanks
Andy

Hi Andrew,

Sorry for the delay.

In any case when we switched from a design created in Wordpress to an HTML design, the images have still disappeared the next time we tried to export images into a new folder for our new design.

When you create a website in Nicepage Desktop, there is no option to "switch" the design or website type from WordPress to HTML or any other format. The Nicepage Desktop website is in a specific format which has no relation to export formats.
But the created website can be exported either as Wordpress theme/content or as HTML static website. As I understand you created a website with a few pages with images (not Post/Blog templates) and exported this website as HTML folder/ZIP. And all images are gone in this website? If so, please export the problem website as Project and attach to this topic so we can reproduce this issue on our side.

As I understand you want to see the same images on the My Images tab when you create new websites in Nicepage Desktop? Unfortunately, it does not work this way. This tab displays the images used in this specific website.
In the case of Wordpress, My Images tab displays images from WP Media library.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.
