copy / paste a section from two different pages?

Hi Manolo,

You should be able to copy section from one page and past it to another if working in the desktop application. Please let me know if that does not work in the desktop application.

i forgot to say that i am using the Wordpress plugin. can i copy paste section there?

OR: is there a way to export from wordpress to desktop, work the file
(and then from desktop to wordpress?)

If not i ll start over from desktop.

Unfortunately none of those options is possible. You cannot copy sections between different pages when working in the plug-in on the live site and you also cannot export the theme to import it in the desktop application. In the desktop application you can import only previously exported themes as a projects.

so the best workflow is to do the work with the desktop app and then Import it?

Yes, if you need to copy content through the pages, the desktop application will be the best option.

I'd like to join this discussion and ask if there is some indirect/work around way to still manage to copy a section from one page to another in the plug-in (Joomla in my case)?

Hi,

We do not have such workaround. Maybe you can find some Joomla plug-in that will allow copying the page. Then on the new page you can remove all the other sections except the desired one.

thank you, this was very helpful. don't in 2 seconds. (no plugins).

I dragged down the top page to the height i wanted, held down the 'drag' button on the items i wanted and moved them onto the other page.
