Trying to see if I can "drive this" and struggling with signup

Ask a Question

Hi.

I am not really a tech savvy person so thought I should try this before buying it. I can see that the starter / trial is limited after 7 days which is fine. I will know by then if I can work out how to use something that doesn't have the familiar "windows layout and feel" to it - or not.

My concern is that to "upload" a site, I need to have a premium account - when I click that, the free one is shown but is not "clickable" - so it will not let me see if I can upload to my own hosting account.

I am probably doing something wrong already, but before I spend hours trying to make a few pages, I thought I had better see if I could actually publish it to the server - and it seems I cannot even figure that out.

Any clues would be welcome - I managed to use "mobirise" ok - I just didn't like the fact you had to keep on paying indefinately. I was trying to find something as simple to drive that would let me just do a "one-off" payment.

Heh ho.

Download the desktop app.
You can export the site and upload to your host.
After the first 7 days, the Starter version allows 1 site up to 5 pages.

Ok, thank you. I have managed to make it work - though for some odd reason it didn't park the files in the area selected (public_html), but I found them in the end.

It's a bit quirky, but if I can learn how to drive it, I will buy the Pro version as I need to make a lot of "holding page" types domains.

To be honest, I export my sites to my PC and use Filezilla to upload them to my host.
And I recommend that you check the box to include the Project file so you have a backup off-site.

Thank you for the feedback. Good idea about the project file too.
