Ask a Question

Hi, I have the business package that allows 50 sites and 3 sub domains on nicepage hosting.
How do I remove the subdomains and just use the 50 sites

Example lets say I create 50 sites and host them on worldpress.
However because I cant remove the nicepage hosting I can only uploaded 3 sites to my own domains

example lets say I own
mysite1.com - sites1.nicepage.io
mysite2.com - sites2.nicepage.io
mysite3.com - sites3.nicepage.io
mysite4.com - Unable to uploaded because exceed to allowed subdomains

Since every time I publish a site an auto subdomain is created on nicepage (sites123.nicepage.io) I cant upload the 4th site even though I have paid for 50 sites

If you have the Business account, it includes 3 hosted sites.
That's why that's happening.
Check the grid on the premium tab.
It includes the ability to have 50 sites in the dashboard on the desktop app, not online web app/hosting.
They need to change the name of the Designer App Pack, which doesn't describe anything and is just confusing, and call it the Desktop app, which is what it is.
I would export your 3 sites from online as Project files, and import them into the Desktop app and continue working there.
You can then export the sites and upload them to your host.

So I though I am able to design 50 sites and upload to 50 domains

Thank you for helping me with this issue

You weren't scammed. The Desktop app and web app/hosting were only recently combined for the same price so they basically gave you the online access and hosting for free, so don't complain.

The advantage is for web designers to be able to have many sites in their desktop app dashboard that they can work on at the same time.
Since you are using your own host, use the desktop app to build them and upload them from there.
The Business plan allows 50 sites in the dashboard to work on at the same time.
I would recommend that you make sure you upload Project files with your sites so you have backups in case your hard drive crashes.

I think I am complaining because I like nIcepage but I wish they explained the difference between 3 sites and 50 sites.

But what the point of having 50 site if I can only upload 3? That's where I am confused! lets say I have designed 10 sites for 10 clients and they all own 10 domains. What's the point if I can upload only 3 sites using the "export website" publish feature

Am I doing something wrong ?

No you aren't doing anything wrong.
You need to look at the grid to see what's included with each plan.
The ultimate plan allows 20 sites hosted.
Hosting is expensive.
You need to evaluate your needs.
If separate hosting makes sense for you, then use the desktop app and upload to separate hosting.
If Nicepage hosting makes sense, then find a plan that works for you.

thank you
I wish nicegape lets you design websites on their desktop designer and host websites on other servers and charge a fee as a website designer tool. i don't know if that's even a thing but that what I thought it was. Because the nicepage.io are a waste, I dont need that site address. I update the DNS records on wordpress and website is hosted on there.

does nicepage offer domains for sale?

The desktop app allows you to create sites and host wherever you want.
You don’t need to use their web app or hosting.
They do not sell domains.

thats what I am saying
It doest let me because I have a business package that only allows 3 sites on their nicepage.io and I dont need any them to host any other than design the site and point the DNS
Look at the attached picture and I own the domain but its not letting me upload/update the site because I have 4 sites on the desktop.

https://skylarkshoresevents.nicepage.io
https://site424455.nicepage.io

3 sites published! I cant even update these sites. I get the error that I need to buy more sites.
This is it! everything stops here. I can create 50 sites but nothing else.
Publishing even to my own domains doest work

I think there's a misunderstanding.
Are you using the online web app? or the Desktop app?
Do you have your own host, separate from Nicepage host?
If you have the Business plan, it includes 3 sites hosted on Nicepage.
You mentioned your own host, that's fine.
Use the desktop version, and when you export the sites, send them to your own host, not the option that says Web, which is Nicepage hosting.
Use the HTML, Wordpress, or Joomla options and upload them to your own host, not Nicepage host.
You can have 50 sites at the same time in the Desktop app dashboard to work on and upload to your host as often as you like.
You mentioned originally that you can host them on Wordpress. That's fine. You can create 50 sites with the Desktop app and send them there.

How do I send to my own host ? When I click the wordpress tab it gives me to save file as Folder, Zip and FTP.
When you say upload to my host do u mean saving it as a wordpress and uploading separately ? because folder and zip just save to my computer

On website upload if nicepage remove their own hosting and let people upload sites to their own hosts then the problem solved

Hi Thilanka,

If you want to create a WP site on your own hosting, the proper way to do that is the following:
1. Install WordPress CMS on our hosting and assign the domain you have to this site.
2. Create a theme and content in Nicepage Desktop application (you can have 50 sites in the dashboard)
3. Export the Theme and Content using the Export window >> WordPress option >> Theme and Pages included
4. Upload the exported zip file with theme and content on your site installed on your hosting.
5. Install the theme and content on the site. Further editing of the content will be possible with the Nicepage plug-in for WordPress.

Please check our documentation about working with WP themes here:
https://nicepage.com/doc/66707/install-wordpress-theme-and-pages

Once again, you do not need our online editor on nicepage.com site and do not need to publish the site from the desktop application using the Export >> Website option, that only publishes the ste on our hosting that you do not need.

Hella

If html, export and upload to public_html folder.
CMS I can’t help since I don’t use it. I would call their support. It’s great.
