Video on adding a blog

Hi there. I love Nicepage and how easy it is to design a page almost without limitations. But I do not understand the concept of how to add a blog. I can add it as a template but once added it disappears again - it can not be linked to the menu and its not even in the pages overview. So where does it go and how can I access it - and in what mode? It's simply not logic like the rest of the Nicepage editor. Could you please add a video showing how to do this :)

Hi John,

Blog template should be always present in the Theme drop-down within the desktop application. You can edit the template design and after the export and installation of the theme, the Blog template will be automatically applied to the appropriate page types within your CMS. For WP that template will be automatically used by the Posts page and in Joomla it will be applied to the Featured Articles, Category Blog and Archived Articles menu items.

Nicepage theme provides two templates only: Blog and Post. Unfortunately, custom templates ate not supported.

Thanks Olivia,
I take it that the blog theme will only be visible on WP. Also I would like to add a site search, which normally comes with the theme. Is it possible to add a site search via Nicepage?

Hi John,

You can use the Add >> WordPress Widget >> Search Widget option and add it inside the editor or simply add the Position control, that will create the widget area and you will be able to add the Search widget in that area from the site backend.
