Ask a Question

Hello

I have to say that at first glance this looks like the Holy Grail of Wysiwyg editors. I'm an old school designer and I know enough HTML to just make a mess of things, so this looks like it could be a great tool for me.

I've been working with Mobirise for over a year now and I came across your editor in one of the forums. I'm frustrated with MBR because I can not seem to find a responsive slide show.

I've been playing with Nicepage today and I'm very impressed. I'm pretty close to buying it, but I have a few important questions first.

1) MOST CRUCIAL - Is the image slider 100% responsive? ( meaning no cropping of the image when being used on desktop or mobile) and what is the ideal image size to use? (ie. 1700 x 600 pixels)

2) I've been working with one of the templates and I'm noticing that my images are not scaling proportionally. They are square shaped in the desktop preview but switch to vertical rectangles in another.

Thanks in advance!

HI,

Thank you for your feedback!

  1. Slider is a control with fixed height. The height can be changed manually in responsive modes or it can be affected by the Grid, for example. But slider height does not depend on the height of the Picture control on the slides. Especially when you use the image as an image fill option. You can try using the "contain" Fit option which allows displaying the whole image. And then adjust the height of the slider in each responsive mode separately.

  2. Could you please provide a few screenshots that demonstrate the issue? Please note that Nicepage controls can be resized in each responsive mode separately.

Olivia

Olivia,
Thanks for the quick response.

I've attached some screen caps of the resizing issue.

Please clarify this for me

1) When working with a template, I have to manually adjust all images text and image placements for each responsive size?
2) " Slider is a control with fixed height." Does this mean a percentage or is it a pixel measurement?

For example if i create my slide at 1200X 500 pixels and I want it to scale responsively across all sizes I should use the contain fit option?

Olivia,

I think I might be on the right track, however, I now have a a space/gap/border around the container (?) when I view it in different sizes.

Hi,

Slider height is defined in px. If you want to reduce it in responsive modes, you can do it manually in the editor or on the right panel. Nicepage does not reduce the slider height automatically.
It looks like you added images as Grid cell background images. The behavior displayed on the attached screenshot is proper. I can only suggest that you adjust the height of the Slider manually. This should help.
